Community art - Building Community and Connection

Diana is a yogic potter and community activist based in the vibrant town of Cobh in County Cork. With a deep commitment to diversity, integration, and mental health, Diana founded the Cobh women’s shed which has become a sanctuary for creativity and connection.

This inclusive space welcomes all women from the community, offering them the opportunity to explore pottery and other crafts as well as wellness practises, as a means of connection, self-expression and personal growth.

Diana seeks to empowered women in her community to collaborate on creating permanent community art installations in Cobh. These projects, rooted in shared experiences and local culture, bring colour and accessible art to the town while showcasing the unique voices of the women involved.

A dedicated yogi, Diana incorporates yogic warrior principles into her pottery practice and community work. Her aim is that the women’s shed is a cornerstone for fostering resilience, building friendships, and nurturing mental well-being and that it enriches the lives of the women of her community.
